Thank God It's FRIDAY!
Wow, what a week this has been! Long and dreary it seemed!
Last night we went downtown to see Casey LeBlanc (5th runner up for Canadian Idol last year) since and then the band the Automatics played for the Rock and Roll Festival. There was quite a crowd there. It wasn't too bad. We went home after that then walked just down the road a bit to watch the fire works. They were really nice! Impressive. They even had some that lit up like a star and a heart!
So I think I'm going to go home and clean tonight. Our apartment is in desperate need for a cleaning! Hopefully it's not too warm in there.
Nothing really planned for the weekend. Going to go to the Car Show on Sunday. Nice long weekend for me! Wes is off Saturday and Sunday too. We haven't had a weekend off now since April!

Will Friday ever get here?
This week feels like it's taking forever to get over. Only 1 more day until a long weekend! Thank god.
Plans for this weekend - hmmm! Friday night not much, probably clean. Wes works nights, so maybe I'll clean then read one of those smutty Harlequin Romance Novels I have! Saturday Wes is off, not sure what we'll do. Sunday neighbors from Fredericton are coming up and we are going to go for breakfast and then go to the car show. It's Rock and Roll weekend here. They are suppose to have fire works tonight and live entertainment (Casey LeBlanc from Canadian Idol and another band) but it's calling for 90% rain. So I'm not sure it'll happen!
I need to paint our bathroom, but it's either too hot or raining out. We have all the materials but just need a cool day to do it. We don't need to paint the whole bathroom, but from about belly up all around, there is tiles below that. So it's not that it's a lot to paint, but you can't do it on a rainy day - it'll never dry, and to do it on a hot day - how can you take a shower to clean the sweat off you when it's done! You can't win!! It just might have to wait until fall! hahaha!
Well I should get going for now. Get back to work!

Rainy Day...
What a yucky day out. It's raining and it's so hot and muggy. Our poor air conditioner is going to die out soon I think! It seems like it's been running constantly. As long as it holds out for this summer, I don't care!
So Wes seen his old shoulder surgeon yesterday and told him that he is quite lucky that Dr. Holtby will see him. He says he's one of the best orthopaedic surgeons in the country. That made us quite happy. He also mentioned that he highly doubted Dr. Holtby would get him all the way to Toronto to say that there is nothing that can be done for him. So that made us even happier! Hopefully I'll be able to book his flight today or tomorrow.
Other than that, things are quiet. This weekend is the Rock and Roll Festival here in Miramichi. Thursday night we are going to go to Ritchies' Warf and listen to the music (Casey LeBlanc is coming up - from Canadian Idol last year) and there will be fire works! Saturday we may head up home for the day. Sunday Gordie and Edie are coming up from F'ton and we are going to have breakfast then go the car show. I have a long weekend - Monday off. Quite excited about that!
Well I should be on my way for now. Get some work done.

Niece and Nephew

Weekends' over - Got some good news!!
Hey all,
Well the weekend went by fast enough! Friday night we didn't do all that much. Finished putting together the BBQ that Wes got for his birthday! What a job that was. Anyway, it's done, still sitting in the kitchen but it's done! Now all we need is a propane tank. Hopefully we'll get that this week.
Oh and we got some big news on Friday!!! The doctor we wrote to in Toronto for Wes' shoulder called his family doctor here in Miramichi to set up an appointment!! Whoohoo!! Guess the date?!?!? July 11! Man, that's quick. So now we are in the process of trying to find a flight for him and trying to find money to cover this. Anyone out there with airmiles or anything that they would like to donate would be great! ;o) Another coincindence on Friday is that the surgeon that operated on him twice called to book an appoinment for today. Quite the short notice considering they know we live in Miramichi. They called Friday afternoon too and wanted to see him today.
Saturday I drove Wes to work, went to a few yard sales then went home. I planted my tomato plants and cleaned up the apartment a bit. At 3:30 I went to pick up Wes from work then we came home and vegged for the night. Sunday we slept in then went to babysit Carter Boo for the afternoon. Things were fairly quiet as you can see!
So as you can see, the weekend went by really fast!

It's June 23, Wes' birthday was yesterday! He's 28yrs old!! We had a great day! I took half of it off, his family came over, we had chinese, DQ cake and he opened lots of gifts!
