Wes went to see Dr. Burton today in F'ton to get some xrays done for his upcoming surgery. Dr. Burton said that his shoulder has gotten considerably worse since his last xrays in January. There is no cartiledge left what-so-ever and a lot more osteoarthritis. He indicated that his surgery would be in October and would call with an exact date within the next couple of weeks. They won't be doing a total replacement but will be doing a re-surfacing (cutting off the humeral head and placing a prosthesis in to serve as the humeral head) and cleaning out the osteoarthristis. He indicated that this will be the first step and see how it goes. If it does not go well, then they will do the replacement. Dr. Burton indicated he would probably be in the hospital for 2-3 days. He also indicated that he would be doing the surgery with Dr. Barnhill (tag team of orthopedic surgeons) as he is specialized in shoulders too. Dr. Burton couldn't get over how bad his shoulder was at his age. It just keeps decreasing.
So we are both very glad that things are going the way we would like. Still a bit of a wait until the surgery but at least we know it's coming!
Just wanted to keep you posted!!

Do you ever have one of those days?!?
Ever have one of those days that just doesn't start our right and ruins everything!??!?!
Mine started out this morning, around 7:15am. By that time I was at my in-laws cleaning the poop and pee from the puppy. What happens - my zipper breaks on my pants. So now I have to make a stop at home before I head to work. Fine, that's not too bad, I can deal with that. Then I get to Tim Horton's in Douglastown (I need my Tim's in the morning), start making my order when BANG and the car moves ahead about a foot. What the ?$*#? Look back and there is a 1/2 ton truck on my ass. Nice! So as this is happening the Tim Horton's lady is singing back my order to me and I never heard a thing. So I ask her "Can you please repeat the order AS I HAVE JUST BEEN REAR-ENDED" (emphasis on the rear-ended part - I shouted a bit with that one hoping the bitch behind me would hear). I then get my order, park my car and get my pen and paper out. I checked the back of the car - from what I can see no damage. She pulls next to me and starts rambling about her foot slipping off the brake and the person behind her almost hit her. She appoglozies, etc.. and all I say is give me your name and number. She mentions that she doesn't think there is anything wrong with my car but that hers had a dent or something. WHO CARES! So I get in my car and try to settle down, I'm shaking like crazy. It scared the shit out of me.
So yeah, what a start to a day right. We'll it's not done yet! I get back to work, still shakin up. Thank god I have my Tim's, right. Yeah right, I open it up, take a big gulp and YUCK! They gave me TEA!! What the *$#&? Yuck Yuck Yuck!!! I'm a coffee gal!
Imagine, all of this happening before 9:00am this morning! I think I need to go home and sleep this day off! Wish I could.............
Got this pic this morning from a co-worker - brought a smile to my face. A big reminder as well - NEVER LEAVE YOUR KIDS ALONE!! :o)

Weekends over, when does the next one get here!
Well the weekend is over. We had a pretty good weekend I guess, except maybe for the dog sitting part of it! The puppy is so damn cute but he's not fully trained and doesn't always pee and poop on target. Mind you we only have 3.5 more days of it. Just a hassel running up there 3 times a day to stay for an hour, clean poop and pee and play with the doggy. I'll try to post some pictures of her by the end of the week.
Friday night we didn't do too much, checked the puppy, took her for her 1st walk, then went to Bargain Giant to look at a little night table that was in the flyer and went to Walmart. Saturday BBQ'ed supper then went to the Exhibition that night. Sunday watched the race! That was about all! Quiet but nice.
So Wes travels to F'ton on Friday to see about a surgery date and to get a bunch of tests done. Hopefully the date will be in the very near future, within a month or two.
We are heavily debating on taking a trip to Louden NH next year to see a Nascar Race. Probably the race in September - it may not be as hot as July's race. I've checked a few tour places out and looks like we could go for like $465 each for 3 nights - that includes our hotel room, continental breakfast, drive there and back, tickets to Busch and Nextel race as well as transportation from hotel to track each time. So that's not too bad, considering tickets for the event could run anywhere from 50-100, depending. It would be quite the experience. Anyway, we'll see. It'll kind of be like a 2 year anniversary present to ourselves. Probably include Christmas in there too!
Speaking of Christmas - I'm looking for ideas of crafty things to make this year. I may do some more of those fuzzy scarves, and at the office we are thinking of doing some kind of snowman thing with tomato trellis things. They showed me pictures and they are quite cute.
Oh yeah, Staci got her car yesterday. 2002 Saturn something or another. Silver in color I believe. Only 18,000km on it. Not bad! Get this - she's calling it Lolita! What a gal! Special she is! ;o)
Gonna run for now!

Good news!
What a roller coster we have been on! Wes went to see Dr. Burton (the surgeon that operated twice on his shoulder) yesterday to fill him in on his trip to Toronto to see Dr. Holtby. Dr. Burton could not get over Dr. Holtby's unprofessionalism. Wes and Dr. Burton talked for a while about different options that could be done for him (not many available) and then decided that he would perform the surgery that he needs. Dr. Burton is going to consult with a prosthesis person to see which would be best for him and get Wes some more literature on the replacement. Wes goes to see him on July 28th for tests and xrays then he will hopefully have a date set. So we're both quite excited about this. I know there will be considerable recovery time, but he will be about 90% free of pain. We can't wait! I'll keep you posted on how things go!

Finally - the weekend!
Finally, it's Friday and I have a 3 day weekend! Can't wait!!
Plans for this weekend - hmmm - heading to the North Shore tomorrow morning, stop and visit with family then reunion meeting at 3:00pm at Pizza Delight. After that, not sure, hang with Tanya hopefully and god only knows what else. Sunday we're heading back to Miramichi, leaving around 11:30, stopping in JR to visit with Amy and Myrna - have a BBQ with them for lunch then come back here. Tanya will be coming down with me to spend the night. Quite excited about that. Probably look at wedding pics, maybe the video, etc.. Monday we'll go around Miramichi checking out the sights! hahaha!
I'm anxious to see my little niece Kadence! I haven't seen her since the first week of May and that was only quick. I guess she's laughing away and talking baby talk like crazy. She's 6 1/2 months already! Time sure flies by quick!
Speaking of time flying by, I can't wait to see Amy too! She's almost 6 1/2 months pregnant now. I'm definately bringing my camera home with me! Maybe even the video camera!
Well should be on my way. I'll post back once the weekends done!

Not so good news..
Well Wes went to see the doctor in Toronto. Yet another dead end. He seems to think it'll get better on it's own! Well it's been almost 2 years since the first surgery, doesn't look like it's going anywhere good. He said that if Wes wanted him to 'go in and take a look around' he could. His appointment is September 2007. Imagine! Why fly him all the way there if he knew he wouldn't do anything. Piss me off!
Anyway, that's it for now. He flies in tomorrow and drives up with Tanya!
Heading up home this weekend, up Saturday, down Sunday. Should be fun! Then Tanya is coming back with us on Sunday so we can hang. I'm taking Monday off so we can chill, just the girls!
Later alligators!

What a weekend!
Wow, working on 3 hours of sleep isn't the easiest! We drove to Moncton yesterday, visited with Staci then went to Julie's. Poor Julie and Gerry can't have air conditioning in their place because of the windows (crank open)! We had a hard time to survive one night there! We sat outside most of the night, then went it was time for bed, it took forever to fall asleep. I was up at 3:30 waiting for the alarm to go off, once it did, woke Wes up and got ready to bring him to the airport. Once I dropped him off and set him on his way, I drove home! I got in at 7:40, took a shower and came into work! I'm dying right now, it's 1:00pm and I go until 4! I'll be sleeping heavy tonight!
So Wes called, his flight was good and he's in Toronto at his cousins! I'll talk to him more tonight and find out how things are going.
That was basically our weekend. I'm exhausted, gotta go before I fall asleep!

Thanks all!!

Hump Day :o)
Well the weeks seems to be going by a bit faster now. It's towards the end of the work day on Wednesday, that means only 2 more days until weekend. I think I can deal with that!
I'm in the process of trying to have a little 'meeting' sorta thing with anyone that's around home (Dalhousie) for the Grad Reunion. I'm thinking of Saturday, July 15th in the afternoon for about an hour. Just to brainstorm ideas, get something going. I'll be home that weekend and so will a few other people. So it would be good to have one them. Maybe get a couple commitees going or something. We'll see.
Have you ever had a dream that you have no idea where it came from? Like nothing really sparked it or anything? You wake up wondering why in the h*ll you had it! I had one like that last night. I really have no idea why I dreamed it - there is no rhyme or reason. Weird how those things happen sometimes.
Tanya and Amy will be home soon. I can't wait to see both of them! It's been since our wedding since I've seen either.
Well I should get going. Time to head home soon!

Wow, Tuesday already!
Only 4 more days to the week now!
The weekend wasn't too bad. Friday night Wes worked, I didn't do too much. Saturday we lazed around and drank coffee then went over to the in-laws for supper. Then came back to our place and watched the 'Cruise Around The River' with all the old cars. Sunday we went to the car show and had breakfast with Gordie and Edie from Fredericton. I had Monday off so I farted around all day, did some cleaning and worked on a special project. That was about it! Oh yeah, Staci, Jessie and Regan came to visit yesterday for a few. Regan is soo cute!
1 week today Wes will be in Toronto! Please pray that all will be good and that the doctor can help him!!
Well I should be off for now. Take care all!
PS - Happy Belated Birthday to Amy!!! and Happy Anniversary to her and Landon!
